In the beginning of October, the Talent Management Institute was again present at the talent management workshop organized by the EIASM. The 7th workshop on talent management, hosted by Riitta Lumme-Tuomala, Hugh Scullion, David Collings and Vlad Vaiman – took place in Helsinki, Finland, from October 1-2 at the Aalto University School of Business. Our Affiliate Researcher Juuso Tiihonen presented and discussed an empirical paper, co-authored by Prof. Marion Festing, Academic Director of the Institute, Lynn Schäfer, Head of the Institute and Juuso Tiihonen entitled: “Striving for Inclusive Talent Management Practices: The idea of an Inclusion Index for TM”.

Juuso Tiihonen states: “As an eager PhD student in the field of talent management, my second EIASM Workshop in Helsinki was a great reunion where we continued where we left off last year. Once again, the intensive sessions provided a perfect international forum to discuss new ideas and ongoing projects with the brightest minds in the field. The multiple perspectives to TM research that strive to tackle the challenges and demands posed by the practitioners as well as the academic community were debated in detail.”

We look forward to submitting our research also to the next EIASM workshop on talent management taking place from September 30 to October 1, 2019 in Toulouse, France.
